Geez, my school paper's editorial standards aren't very high. Not only did they cut my wuss article and replace it with my anti-war article (which I like, don't get me wrong), but right under it, there's an article quoting Kanye West as saying "George Bush hates black people." Hey, moron, he said "George Bush DOESN'T CARE ABOUT black people." There's a difference. "Once, in the streets of Verona, there were two families named Montague and Capulet who didn't care about each other worse than death." See? Not the same effect at all. Then it goes on to say nobody blamed the mayor and the governor for the Katrina aftermath. Like fun they didn't. Rush Limbaugh (may God rip his bowels out) called Mayor Nagin "Mayor Nayger" by "accident". He ends with "the tragedy could have been avoided". Yes, because Governor Blanco controls the weather. Does "Brownie, you're doing a heckuva job" sound at all familiar? Oh, and Dubya cares about black people, by the way. Just enough to disenfranchise them.
